Olive Quackers by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan

Olive Quackers by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
Everytime we go to the thrift store my daughter is amazed at the junk I find. Like this little cup with green flowers and the little duck. These olives are starting to dry out a little but I figured I could get one more painting out of them. I painted this with a lot of greys and it was harder than it looks.

When Hay Ain't Enough

When Hay Ain't Enough
I love hay just like the next one but I will tell you that sometimes Hay Ain't Enough...
Sometimes I just need to be with those other cows. Sometimes I like it when those little fellows
jump and frolic among the daisies. Ha! That is in a dream world. They really sometimes play in the dry dead grass but they don't care. They are just having some fun. Sometimes it really is good to be a cow. Like when I stand there on a bright sunny day and feel the warmth of the sun beaming down on my back. Makes me want to just lay down and take a nap. I hear the sound of the truck horn in the distance but that don't bother me or really even make me sway from my thoughts. I am enjoying this...just standing here thinking about life and blessings. This is the best...this is the time when hay ain't enough. Thoughts are better....

Not Without My Donut

Not Without My Donut
If you are a coffee drinker then undoubtedly you have a favorite cup. I do of course.
My favorite cup must have a nice size handle...One I can get my fingers in. It must be thin and have
that elegant special feel. It really doesn't have to be pretty with flowers and such even though that is nice. I don't like those thick heavy mugs but if that is all that is available then so be it. I will even use paper if I have to.

Not Without Salt

Not Without Salt
I painted this and there was just something about it that was not quite right. I studied and studied it and even photographed it but when my daughter walked in she said did you mean for those edges on the broken eggs to be smooth? I had painted them perfectly round. Of course I straightway changed the edges......Mush better I think. 7x5 oil on canvas panel. For sale or auction at my DPW Gallery just follow the link to purchase via Pay Pal.

Red Velvet
My favorite cake...I mean cupcake.
I will share this with you...For Christmas I made a red velvet cake. I was so

A Prayer for the Gulf waters...please join me

Dr. Masaru Emoto is the scientist from Japan who has done all the research
and publications about the characteristics of water.
Among other things, his research revealed that water physically responds to emotions.
Many people have the predominantly angry emotion when we consider what is happening in
the Gulf. And while justified in that emotion, we may be of greater assistance to our planet and its life forms if we sincerely, powerfully and humbly pray the prayer that Dr. Emoto, himself, has proposed.

I am passing this request to all people to set an intention of love and healing that is so large, so overwhelming that we can perform a miracle in the Gulf of Mexico.

We are not powerless. We are powerful.

Our united energy, speaking this prayer daily...multiple times daily...can
literally shift the balance of destruction that is happening. We don't have
to know how...we just have to recognize that the power of love is greater
than any other power active in the Universe today.

"I send the energy of love and gratitude to the waters and all living creatures in the Gulf of Mexico and its surroundings. To the whales, dolphins, pelicans, fish, shellfish, planktons, corals, algae ... to ALL living creatures ... I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I Love You."

Please join me in often repeating this Healing Prayer by Dr. Emoto's.
Feel free to send it around the planet....post it on your blog.
Let's take charge ... and do our own clean up!
