A couple of boats ready to go out for the catch of the day.

I love that mist filled air where shrimp boats gather. I can remember the heavy salty air at Bayou La Batre,Al

a little fishing town on the gulf coast. My uncle Robert owned a shrimp boat there named the Morning Star. I think of him as I paint this.

Taking a day off form a long season of hard work.

My uncle Robert owns a shrimp boat in Bayou La Batre, Al.

His boat is named the Morning Star he is older now so she rest a lot

these days but he is still the avid shrimper at heart.

Be Careful who your friends are. Be careful where you go... who you talk to...

who you buddy with because no matter what your day brings whether good or bad

the company you keep can really determine your outcome.

Just remember that We Are In This Together and whether we do good together or bad

we are usually not alone and our outcome can be influenced by the company we keep.
